  • Former Prospect Park councilman for 3 consecutive terms, a total of 9 years.  Several times Council President. 

  • Worked abroad (Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Germany, and France) during college summer breaks in a variety of industries.

  • A notary public, a substitute teacher, 6 Certificates from NJ Department of Banking and Insurance, NY (DMV inspector and real estate agent) and Mobil Oil Corp’s retail Certificate. 

**Accomplishment as a councilman in the Borough of Prospect Park**

2001, Saved more than $98,000 by reducing the expenditures.

2002, tax increase on Municipal portion, which we have control over, was $1.34 per home based on an average assessed value of $146,000.

2003, Tax increase on Municipal portion was only $53.00 per home for based on an average assessed value of $146,000.

The “Golden Frame”: Brought a 4x9 feet Egyptian custom-made frame as a gift to the Borough of Prospect Park to share the sorrow of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The Golden Frame became meaningful following the destruction of the Twin Towers.

Introduced Bicycle Helmet Ordinance:  This ordinance was introduced to protect our children. Helmets can save lives because without one, if they fall or get hit by a vehicle, they could cause severe injury and trauma to a child.

Negotiator for Tilcon Quarry Allegation Against Prospect Park: We received a lump sum settlement of $525,000.00 ($515,000 + $$10,000) and $75,000.00 annually.

Initiated “First Borough Flag”:  This is a project I had in mind for a long time. I contacted different schools and told them that I would like to have a special flag for the Borough. The project turned into a contest with an enormous positive response. The winning flag was chosen from an art student at Manchester Regional High School.

Cell Tower:  Created a new source of income that generates $50,000.00 to $75,000.00 annually.

Sister City Relationships: Developed a Sister City Program with Alexandria, Egypt that is designed to promote important international programs and projects based upon mutual aspirations. 

*Extended the lifespan of police vehicles from 3 years to 5 years.

*Negotiated an inter-local agreement with Haledon to purchase gasoline from them, saving $4000.00 annually.

*Eliminated duplicate insurance prescription plan, saving $18,000.00 annually.

*Changed light bulbs in the borough hall through a promotion with PSE&G, which produced a cost saving of $7,400.00, as well as saving 40% of our energy bill.

*Saved over $12.000.00 with free repairs to all our police vehicles.

*Applied for Extraordinary Aid Fund and received $100,000.00.
